TORE means TOtally REcycled and so every single thread, fibre and strand of these ped socks has been reclaimed and reused, right down to the cardboard packaging they're fastened to. So, why are we doing this? Because we can, and because we should. The fashion industry is a major contributor to water consumption and waste water production. It's responsible for staggering amounts of landfill, up to 10.000 more clothing items every five minutes, and that's to say nothing of other forms of non-degrading waste like plastic bottles. We're taking discarded textile waste and recycled PET, processing and spinning into yarn in our certified factories, colouring using non-harmful dyes and turning it into new socks.
